If you’re one of these assholes clammering for the electoral college voters to go rogue and somehow elect Hillary Clinton instead of Donald Trump, go to hell (am I allowed to say that in your safe space?).
I could stop writing right there and feel satisfied, but there few things that piss me off more than hypocrisy, and this might be the truest form of hypocrisy we’ve seen in a long time.
So here I go:
Unless you would be okay with the electoral college voters [hypothetically] casting their votes for Donald Trump if Hillary Clinton had won the general election, then my guess is that you’re the biggest asshole in your circle of friends (which is undoubtedly filled with other like-minded people who agree with your insane assessment of what the electoral college is there for..so you guys can decide who the biggest asshole is, but it’s probably you).
Don’t start with quotes from Alexander Hamilton saying that “the office of president will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications.” THAT IS SUBJECTIVE. I would be willing to bet all the money in my pockets against all the food stamps in your pockets that had Hillary Clinton won the election, Trump supporters would be saying she is iminently unqualified to be president. I don’t care if you agree with that, or if I agree with that. It’s a fact. If you can’t accept the fact that people have the exact opposite view as you, and that those views should be respected as much as you expect people to respect your views, you’re not just part of the problem, you are the problem.
The electoral college voters should not cast their vote for anyone other than Donald Trump. Not because I necessarily want Trump to be our President on January 20th, 2017, but because that is what the American people have already determined should happen.
If you honestly believe the electoral college voters should amend the results of the general elections, it’s because you:
a.) don’t understand how those whole system works, and why it has to work this way
b.) you don’t care that you don’t understand how it all works
c.) you’re just an asshold
d.) All of the above.
*Hint: The answer is definitely d.) All of the above
**If your argument has anything to do with popular vote vs. the electoral college you might be an even bigger asshole than those who are suggesting the electoral college voters switch their votes…then again, you’re probably one-in-the-same. Now quick: go tag each other on twitter and facebook and talk about a bunch of stuff only you and your idiot friends care about and agree with because you’re too fragile and close-minded to have a real debate about these issues with people who disagree with you.
